Violaceous possesses rich plummy tones without being too dark or too overpowering.   With just a hint of blue, this deep violet goes on surprisingly sheer.  This is the perfect medium bright shade of purple. 

An ideal medium tone accent color, it is semi sheer when applied dry and full coverage with a bright pop of color, when foiled (applied wet).
